Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

The Short Version

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information when you visit ShoesAdviser. You can read every guide and review on this site without handing over a single piece of data to us directly.

That said, there are third-party tools running in the background that track how people use this site, and there may eventually be ads served here too. This page explains all of that in plain language so you know exactly what’s going on.

Who We Are

ShoesAdviser is a shoe review and buyer guide website targeted primarily at users in the United States. If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how data is handled on this site, you can reach us directly at webincomeplus@gmail.com.

What Information We Collect

Here’s the honest answer: we do not personally collect anything from you.

There is no sign-up form, no newsletter subscription, no login, no comment section that asks for your details. Nothing on this site requires you to identify yourself in any way.

However, when you visit any website, certain information is automatically transmitted by your browser and device. Things like your IP address, the type of browser you’re using, the device you’re on, and the pages you visit. We do not capture or store this information ourselves, but some of the third-party tools we use do. More on that below.

Third-Party Tools We Use

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. It helps us see things like which pages are most popular, how long people spend reading, what devices they’re on, and where our traffic is coming from broadly.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data. It does not tell us who you are personally, but it does track behavior across sessions. Google has its own privacy policy that governs how this data is collected and used, and you can read it at google.com/policies/privacy.

If you’d prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On, which is available for free at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor how this site performs in Google search results. This tool shows us things like which search queries bring people to our site, how often our pages appear in search results, and whether there are any technical issues affecting the site.

Search Console does not track individual users and does not use cookies. The data it provides is aggregated and tied to search performance, not to individual visitors.

Bing Webmaster Tools

Similar to Google Search Console, we use Bing Webmaster Tools to track how ShoesAdviser performs in Bing search results. Again, this is purely about site performance in search, not individual user tracking. No personal data is collected through this tool.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your browser to remember certain things about your visit.

The only cookies currently active on ShoesAdviser are those placed by Google Analytics. These cookies help Google track visit patterns and usage behavior on the site. They do not store any personally identifiable information.

You can control or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Keep in mind that disabling cookies entirely may affect how some websites function, though it will not affect your ability to read content on ShoesAdviser.

Advertising

ShoesAdviser does not currently run display ads. However, we may introduce contextual advertising in the future through networks like Google AdSense.

If and when that happens, those ad networks will place their own cookies on your browser to serve ads that are relevant to your interests or to the content you’re reading. These are called contextual or interest-based ads. The ad networks collect and use data in accordance with their own privacy policies, which are separate from ours.

Google’s advertising privacy policy can be found at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at any time by visiting adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many networks through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.

We will update this privacy policy when advertising goes live on the site so you always have an accurate picture of what’s running here.

Affiliate Links

Some of the links on ShoesAdviser are affiliate links. That means if you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you.

Clicking an affiliate link will take you to a third-party retailer’s website. Once you’re there, that retailer’s own privacy policy applies. We have no control over how they collect or use your data.

We only link to retailers we consider reputable, but we’d encourage you to review their privacy policies if you have any concerns before making a purchase.

External Links

Our guides and reviews occasionally link out to external websites for additional context or reference. Once you leave ShoesAdviser and land on another site, this privacy policy no longer applies. Those sites have their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Children’s Privacy

ShoesAdviser is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has somehow submitted personal information through this site, please contact us at webincomeplus@gmail.com and we will take care of it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights when it comes to your data. If you are in the European Union, you have rights under GDPR, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. If you are in California, you have similar rights under CCPA.

Since we do not collect personal information directly, there is generally nothing stored on our end to access or delete. But if you have any concerns or questions about data connected to your visit, feel free to reach out and we will do our best to help.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this privacy policy from time to time, particularly as the site grows and new tools or monetization methods are added. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.

We’d recommend checking back occasionally, especially if you’re a regular visitor.
